From the creators of Experimental Cocktail Club comes a trendy steakhouse with an organic British pedigree and thoroughly Paris interior design by Dorothée Meilichzon. A location set near the famous Les Halles features a glassy streetfront façade with glass windows and logo emblazoned next to the entrance. Inside, knotty farmhouse floors are juxtaposed to more colloquial file floors that extend up the wall around giant mirrors and retro-modern lighting. Seating comes along a comfy Aztec-print banquette or center cluster of bare tabletops with bistro chairs.
The Food
It’s not an easy pill to swallow that this French-owned eatery chooses to use beef sourced from Brit Tim Wilson’s and his Yorkshire cuts of beef that many consider the best in the world. The resulting menu includes numerous meat pairings from an enormous prime rib for two to comfort classic burger and health-minded tenderloin. Entrée salads include a great Caesar as well a more Francophilic greens as well as an accompaniment of steakhouse sides from sautéed spinach to crunch fried potatoes.
